Starting the beginning of June we brought on board three fantastic individuals from the Sonoma State Wine Business program. Many of you may have already met Chris, Lucy and AnneMarie in the Tasting Room. The three of them will be learning about direct to consumer sales, hospitality and marketing during their summer internship here at Stryker Sonoma. The passion for wine, and the wine industry runs deep with these three, and we all felt they would make a fantastic addition to our team. One aspect of the internship that we are really excited about is the blog! Each of our interns have decided to write a weekly blog post about different aspects of Stryker Sonoma, and our amazing Valley.
Chris will be sharing a behind the scenes look at how Winemaker Tim Hardin creates those incredible wines. Following him from "grape to glass" Chris hopes to learn what makes us such a unique winery!
Lucy has decided to really challenge herself this summer, it is up to her to share the wines being poured in our tasting room. This may seem like a simple feat, but there is a reason why we pour what we do, and she is going to share that with you. Look for posts about our new tasting menu, wine flights, and more. Along the way Lucy hopes sharpen her food & wine pairing skills, enjoy some fine wines and have fun with our guests here at the winery.
No visit to Alexander Valley is complete without some history, events and community support. Our Valley has been producing wine grapes since the 1860's and the farming tradition of the valley can still be seen today in the events, communities and unique character that makes Alexander Valley the premier wine region it is today. AnneMarie is going to tackle the valley from top to bottom, she will be sharing local events & happenings throughout the summer. Her hope is that when you visit us you stay for more than just the wines.
Join us in welcoming our new crew! When you see them in the tasting room, say hello, give them a topic or two to talk about and ask plenty of questions! Welcome to the Stryker Sonoma Life!
